There are several installation packages for Pathway. Here are some notes to help determine which is the right one to download for your specific environment:
Paratext 7.x
For Paratext versions 7.1 and 7.2 (currently in beta), you will need to install the BTE version of SIL Pathway.
FieldWorks
SIL FieldWorks is available in two editions – Standard Edition (SE) and Bible Translation Edition (BTE):
- FieldWorks SE comes with the FieldWorks Language Explorer program and several helpful utilities for scheduling backups, editing Unicode, etc. If you have this version installed, you will need to install the SE version of SIL Pathway.
- FieldWorks BTE comes with these tools as well as the Translation Editor program. If you have this version installed, you will need to install the BTE version of SIL Pathway.
Helpful tip: if you have the FieldWorks Translation Editor installed on your computer, you have installed FieldWorks BTE.
Experimental Version
You can also download a version of Pathway that contains test exports for XeTeX, WordPress and PDF (via Prince XML). Download this version only if you are using these exports.

I don’t use Open Office, but Microsoft Word 2010. It isn’t clear to me if I will be able to export into Word 2010. Thanks.
It may be just as easy to use the XHTML (or RTF) export from Fieldworks and import the file directly into Microsoft Word 2010.
If it is Scripture text that you want to format in Word 2010, you can get much better printouts by using SILAS. Just export/Save As RTF from Paratext or Translation Editor and then attach the MS Word template called SILAS, which is available from http://code.google.com/p/silas/. This does most of the good formatting things that Pathway does, and some that Pathway doesn’t do.
